UNCTAD’s eWeek, 4-8 December
The eWeek replaces UNCTAD’s Ecommerce Week and will be a hybrid conference with an expected 4,000 participants from around the world. To attend you must register unctad.org/eWeek2023 . EFA is involved in 3 Sessions. The Chair of EFSA’s Legal Affairs Committee, Tendi Hlatshwayo of Ozow, will be joining a panel of experts to discuss data governance on Wednesday, 6 Dec at 17.00 CAT. On Thursday 7 Dec at 10.00, EFA together with the UNECA will be hosting a panel on “Empowering Women Through Ecommerce”; and finally at 10.00 CAT on the Friday 8 Dec, EFA and PAPSS will host a session on cross-border payments in Africa and the Introduction of Common Currencies. We will be joined then by the person at the East African Community responsible for creating a common EAC currency.
