New African-made Video Meeting App

A new video conferencing applicationGumzo (“chatting” in Swahili), was created in 8 weeks by Usiku Games, a Nairobi company that has previously focused on making video games for the African market. Gumzo is free to join and costs $1 per week for users who want to host meetings.  Gumzo is built to be used on the wide variety of devices used across Africa. It is web-based and is accessible on all smartphones, PCs and tablets, including older mobile phones with less memory.
