Mobile Merchant started trading in 2003 operating in the field of MOTO Transactions using IVR cellphone technology. Mobile Merchant’s natural progression was going into the POS field, as a PSP sponsored by ABSA bank. We grew into the POS market quite well using the unbanked market as our starting point and growing our base from there.

Mobile Merchant then moved into the Ecommerce field, providing a Multi-Currency Platform from which to offer our clients. We have partnered with strategic players to offer this solution to merchants in South Africa. Planet Payments being one which allows us to offer acceptance in over 300 currencies.
