Women in Ecommerce. The Interview

We continue our series of interviews by EFA Board member Mpho Sekwele with leading women in ecommerce. Readers can subscribe to these interviews on our website as, sadly, we do not have the space to include all the interviews in these Monthly Newsletters. This month, Mpho chats to Sari of Allure Sensuality, an online sex shop operating from Cape Town. Sari describes her journey which started with Optometry and outlines her challenges faced along the way. She talks about her love for connecting with women which eventually lead to her creation of a wellness digital platform.

This month there is a new study out by IPG Mediabrands’ specialist digital agency, Reprise, which points out that high mobile penetration, secure payment options and changing spending habits, and female consumers, are driving South Africa’s ecommerce industry.
